The following list identifies many of the economic development incentives potentially available. In addition to the local incentives, the Tye Economic & Industrial Development Corporations can assist businesses in gaining the maximum incentive program benefits from state, federal, and other government entities.

With low taxes, a predictable regulatory climate, and a skilled workforce, Texas leads the nation in economic growth. This growth has largely been influenced by the availability of the Development Corporation Act Of 1979. The act allows municipalities to create a non-profit corporation funded by sales tax dollars that will promote capital investment and job creation. This money is fully controlled at the local level and is not dependent on state or county approval. The Tye Economic & Industrial Development Corporations will tailor each incentive package to meet each company’s specific needs.

Current Projects
Targeted Infrastructure Grants – In 2018 both the 4A and 4B Development Corporations accepted grant applications for the Targeted Infrastructure Grant Project. This project was limited to businesses located on the North side of Interstate 20 and is for the specific purpose of financially assisting those businesses to connect to the new sewer line being laid between Spinks road and FM 707 by the City of Tye in 2018. A full Engineering Plan for this project is available for viewing at the CEO’s office during normal business hours.
Façade Enhancement Grant Project – In 2018 the Tye Industrial Development Corporation accepted application for upgrades to the immediate exterior of the business which included items such as doors, windows, awnings, signage, sidewalks, and parking lots. Please contact the board if you would like to apply for the Grant in 2021.
Public Parks Project – Beginning March 12, 2018, both the 4A and 4B Development Corporations will partner with the City of Tye to enhance, repair, and upgrade equipment and facilities at the City’s municipal parks including Rister Park. Due to COVID-19 the Board has not finished with these projects we will continue to update as we move forward.
