Need Financial Assistance to Start or Expand Your Business?

Tye Industrial and Economic Development Corporations give provisional loans and grants to new and/or expanding businesses located within the city limit of Tye to help them establish a solid presence within the business community. If you are in need of financial assistance the following Guidelines give you a step by step plan of action in order to make a formal request. If you're ready to start the process of making a formal request, please call Jennifer Black at 325-695-8253 and make an appointment.

 

1. Each company should submit a current and complete credit report and loan application. Loan applications may be obtained from the TEDCO/TIDCO main office.

 

2. Provide three business references with address and phone numbers.

 

3. Provide information from the bank verifying checking and savings account information.

 

4. Businesses need submit two to three years of income tax statements and financial sheets.

 

5. Business requesting a loan and/or grant will be required to sign a guarantee the full payment of loan/grant.

 

6. Businesses are required to obtain zoning informaiton from Tye City Hall prior to building or expanding, and bring copies of all zoning information to TEDCO/TIDCO. This information will remain on file at the main office.

 

7. An intrest rate of 2% is charged on any loans given for an established company.

 

8. TEDCO/TIDCO will provide all loan/grant application forms.

 

9. All attorney and filing fees shall be the responsiblity of the borrower.

 

10. Upon completion of the loan application the business owner will be required to make a formal presenation to the Board of Directors for recommendation and action.

 

11. Provisional Grants for money or land may be made to a business with board approval. Should the company close within five year, or if the company downsizes employees, they can be required to repay part of the funds back to Development Corporation.

 

12. Employment Incentive - TEDCO/TIDCO will forgive $750.00 from the balance of the loan for each full time employee hired within the first year, and that stays employed with the company for a full year, of the Performance Agreement. The company shall provide an annual report of all positions. If a position is eliminated then the company will not receive credit for that position.

 

13. Each applicant shall be provided with guidelies upon request for money. TEDCO/TIDCO is an equal opportunity lender and does not discriminate. Loan/Grant decisions are made based on a number of criteria.
